A Word of Caution
When using Magnesium Chloride, please be reminded of the following:
- if you have Kidney Disease or any problem related to your kidneys, please seek medical advice first before using any Magnesium product. Magnesium is excreted through the kidneys and can pose an extra burdon on them. However, it is believed that Magnesium Chloride apllied Transdermally carries less of a risk to the kidneys, because of how it enters the body. I will keep you informed on any future information regarding this subject.
- Please be careful when you use Magnesium Chloride on open skin, especially when you are treating Psoriasis or other skin diseases. It really hurts. Please see "Magnesium Flakes" for more info.
- Can you overdose on Magnesium? I believe not when using Magnesium Transdermally. This question arrises when you refer to the relationship it has with Calcium. Ideally the proportions should be 1:1 or 2:1 (calcium to magnesium). In our society today and the food we consume, the proportions are sometimes up to 15:1, so you would need to take an awful lot of Magnesium to even balance that! Therefore, adding 600 mg per day more is not going to affect how calcium is being used in your body, the oppposite actually is true: you are making the gap smaller which already exists between the two minerals.
